Per Stenius, Erik Granfelt and Anitra Lucander are respected Finnish 1950`s colouristic. Gustaf Näsström critic once described them as artists, "that use light-colored and fine nuanced color composition, which has its own points of early Cubism and the image of the construction, but also manifest in an emotional way to approach the subject."

He has studied at the Free Art School from 1945 to 1947. He began his career as cubists and has been using a light color scheme. He has been painting landscape subjects, including Lapland, and India.   His works are at the National Gallery, Amos Anderson, and the Saastamoinen Foundation collection, and at Imatra and Joensuu art museums.

Eero Järnefelt was one of the most important figures in the golden age of Finnish art. He is best known for capturing the majestic landscapes of Koli and as a master of portraiture. Other themes that were close to his heart included Suviranta, his lakeside atelier home by Tuusulanjärvi, and the surrounding nature, as well as members of his family.

The year 2013 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the artist.

Tyko Sallinen was one of the first Finnish Modernists to emphasise the power of emotion and the importance of individuality. In only a few years' time Sallinen became the leading proponent of the younger generation who depicted the Finnish landscape and people with unprecedented candour. The peak of his extensive output coincided with the 1910s.

Juho Rissanen was born as a son of a vagrant family in the Kemilänmäki district of the town of Kuopio.He started his career as an apprentice decorative painter, but his talent and encouraging teachers and supporters made him one of the most significant artists of the Golden Age of Finnish Art.
