AINOLA, Jean Sibelius (1909)

Aino and Jean Sibelius moved into Ainola in 1904 and their home is furnished with plenty of furniture designed by the composer. One example is the corner cabinet which the maestro designed for the living room downstairs for Mrs Sibelius to keep her scores in.

The 50th anniversary of the death of Sibelius occurred in 2007, and BIS, the label that has always been a strong supporter of his music since their beginnings, in September of that year, released the first set of a projected 13 volume edition of every note put down to paper by Jean Sibelius, spanning a total of 65 compact discs.



Rare photo signed by him, mounted on cardboard. Size is 8,5 x 12,5 cm (photo), total size with cardboard is 22 x 27 cm. In very good condition.

Signature and text are litlle faded.
